Thomas Sereseroz, PE

Structures Practice Leader

Thomas D. Sereseroz, PE has over three decades of structural engineering experience specializing in bridge design, load rating, scoping and safety studies. Tom has performed various roles including Project Manager, Lead Bridge Engineer, Design Engineer, Quality Control Reviewer, and Value Engineer for the design of hundreds of bridges.

Tom serves as a technical expert on the ACEC-MDOT Bridge Committee. Tom serves as a technical reviewer of bridge technology-related articles for the American Concrete Institute’s Structural Journal and has served as a technical advisor alongside MDOT personnel on the University of Michigan’s Research Advisory Panel for the Durable Link Slab for Jointless Bridge Decks based on Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites. Tom has also presented on behalf of MDOT to international delegates, on the Finite Element Analysis of Bridges and Consulting Engineering and served on the Michigan Urban Search and Rescue Technical Team. As a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Michigan and Minnesota and a graduate of Michigan State University, Tom is an active member of ACEC Michigan and serves as a member of the Bridge Committee and the Construction Science Expo Planning Committee.

Tom and business partner, Robert D. Rayl, formed RS Engineering, LLC. (RSE), a DBE firm that held over 30 different MDOT prequalifications related to the design, analysis, and construction of roadways and bridges, before joining by Clark Dietz in 2024. RSE was awarded Small Business Firm of the Year by the ACEC Michigan in 2007, 2009, and 2019, and DBE Firm of the Year by the MDOT in 2009. In his new role, Bob oversees projects for the state of Michigan and Minnesota.
