INDIANAPOLIS, IN, June 11, 2021 – Clark Dietz is delighted to congratulate Senior Vice President Hans Peterson, PE for being selected as 2021 Consulting Engineer of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Indiana. Hans earned a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He has been with Clark Dietz for 25 years as the Indiana Civil/Environmental Team Leader, with an incredible breadth of experience in stormwater and wastewater management systems. During his tenure at Clark Dietz, Hans served 13 years on the Board of Directors as well as Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. He has also been active on multiple internal committees for IT, Contracts, Emergency Response/Business Recovery, and Client Satisfaction. Hans has served as a mentor and valuable technical resource to numerous staff by sharing his expertise in the planning, design, and construction of stormwater and wastewater collection systems throughout the Midwest.

Outside of Clark Dietz, Hans has been an active member of ACEC Indiana since 1997, including a term on the Board of Directors, and he has served on the Environmental Business, Indiana DNR, Indianapolis DPW, Citizens Energy Group and Government Affairs committees. ACEC Indiana selected Hans for this honor to recognize his untiring advocacy and water funding efforts. Hans was one of the pioneers working to address Indiana’s drinking water and wastewater needs, as well as the advancement of sustainable funding mechanisms in the State by serving on the ACEC Indiana ad hoc advisory committee to the Governor’s Water Infrastructure Task Force in 2018.

Hans received this award at a banquet held at the Montage Ceremony Gardens in Indianapolis. We’re thrilled his achievement was honored through one of the first in-person events after over a year of lockdowns. Congratulations on achieving the Consulting Engineer of the Year award Hans!
