His leadership on the Monon South Trail Project, a high-profile and complex infrastructure initiative, demonstrated his ability to navigate multifaceted challenges, quickly master new technical domains, and deliver results that benefit entire communities.

But David’s influence doesn’t stop at project delivery. He has been instrumental in shaping firmwide operations, leading the implementation of our enterprise project management system and providing hands-on training to ensure its success. His work has improved consistency and accountability across the firm.

Demonstrating his technical excellence, David received our highest employee honor in 2023—the President’s Award—a reflection of both his expertise and his dedication to fostering a positive, collaborative culture. He currently chairs both our Water/Wastewater Community of Practice and our Culture Committee, serving as a key contributor to internal growth and professional development.

Outside of Clark Dietz, David continues to lead and serve in the engineering community. He serves on an ACEC Indiana committee and is a graduate of the ACEC Indiana Engineering Leadership Program. He also presents at various conferences and industry events, where he shares his insights on innovation, sustainability, and effective engineering practices.

Additionally, he mentors young engineers and interns and actively participates in advocacy efforts and professional initiatives that strengthen the future of the industry.

David’s selection for this award is a testament to his outstanding contributions and bright future in the field. We are honored to have him on our team and thrilled to see him recognized by ACEC Indiana.
