Client: City of Tuscola
Clark Dietz provided design services to help revitalize two alleys and improve public spaces in downtown Tuscola. The work included resurfacing pavement, replacing sidewalks, and upgrading curbs and gutters along the Pembroke Street Alley and the Central Avenue Alley, stretching from Park Street to Main Street.
To support this project, Clark Dietz conducted a topographic survey, reviewed the existing right-of-way layout, coordinated with utility providers, and prepared detailed construction plans and specifications. They also assisted with the bidding process. Landscape architecture services were provided by Hitchcock Design Group to help enhance the area’s visual appeal.
The project was partially funded with Tax Increment Financing (TIF) dollars, which were set to expire in 2021. These improvements are part of a larger effort to implement the city’s Downtown Masterplan, bringing in additional streetscape elements to create a more attractive and accessible public space.
