Robert Rayl, PE
Regional Director, Michigan
With over three decades of experience as a consulting engineer, Robert Rayl, PE serves as Clark Dietz’s Michigan Regional Director. Bob has extensive experience as a Project Manager, QA/QC Engineer, Lead Road Engineer, and Lead Traffic Engineer for a variety of projects across Michigan. As a Professional Engineer, Bob is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Michigan, Indiana, and Minnesota, holding a degree from Michigan State University.
Bob sits on several boards and is an active member of ACEC Michigan, having served as a Board Member and National Director of ACEC, and current Co-Chair of the Political Actions Committee, MDOT Small Business Committee Chair, and a member of the MDOT Procedures and Practices Committee (former Co-Chair). Bob is also the past Chair and current member of the Transportation Committee. With a dedication to empower future engineers, Bob serves as a guest lecturer for MSU’s Capstone 495 class for Civil Engineering program, highlighting the important role of consulting engineers.
Bob and business partner, Thomas D. Sereseroz, formed RS Engineering, LLC. (RSE), a DBE firm that held over 30 different MDOT prequalifications related to the design, analysis, and construction of roadways and bridges, before joining by Clark Dietz in 2024. RSE was awarded Small Business Firm of the Year by the ACEC Michigan in 2007, 2009, and 2019, and DBE Firm of the Year by the MDOT in 2009. In his new role, Bob oversees projects for the state of Michigan and Minnesota.
