Client: City of Carmel

In the City of Carmel, a busy signalized intersection was upgraded to a two-lane roundabout to improve traffic flow and safety. Because an elementary school is located nearby, Clark Dietz worked closely with the city to make sure the project caused as little disruption as possible. To help with that, the intersection closure was limited to just 45 days.

The project included key improvements such as new storm sewers, underdrains, walking paths, and ADA-compliant curb ramps—features designed to make the area safer and more accessible for everyone.

Throughout construction, Clark Dietz’s construction inspection staff coordinated the relocation of utilities to keep the project running smoothly. This upgrade not only enhances traffic efficiency but also reflects a strong focus on safety and accessibility, especially for the nearby school and surrounding community.
