Kevin Loiselle, PE

Project Manager

Mr. Loiselle’s design experience includes federally funded and locally funded bridge projects. Bridge replacements he has been involved with range from a 24’ span three-sided precast concrete structure to a 765’ long four span, steel plate girder bridge. His design experience includes environmental report preparation, hydraulic analysis, permit applications, structural design, plan preparation, quantity calculation & cost estimating, special provisions, bid document preparation and shop drawing review. Historic bridge rehabilitation projects he has designed or supervised include the design for 3 timber covered bridges, an open spandrel concrete arch and a steel through Pratt truss. He designed the replacement of two bridges that used MSE walls to minimize impact to adjacent properties.

Kevin has been involved with bridge design and inspection as a consulting engineer his entire professional career and loves helping clients find the best solution for improving their bridges and small structures. His experience ranges from assisting clients with replacement of small bridges by performing hydraulic analysis and permit applications to providing design & construction services for replacement or rehabilitation of multi-span bridges.

A good portion of Kevin’s experience also involves bridge inspection of county bridges for the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). He has inspected and/or supervised the inspection of over 2,400 bridges for 19 different Indiana Counties. His bridge inspection experience includes routine inspections, fracture critical inspections, in-water inspections, live load rating, replacement & rehabilitation cost estimates and report preparation. With this experience, he has seen a lot of different small bridge/structure types in service and knows which details work and those that don’t work.
